As watchmen long for the morning.

As Dr Grote visits each morning, sometimes we find ourselves waiting in anticipation for that time and his words. Remember with me Psalms 130 and pray that we all will long for Him in this way. This is from The Message.

Psalm 130

A Pilgrim Song

1-2 Help, God—the bottom has fallen out of my life! Master, hear my cry for help!
Listen hard! Open your ears!
Listen to my cries for mercy.

3-4 If you, God, kept records on wrongdoings,
who would stand a chance?
As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit,
and that's why you're worshiped.

5-6 I pray to God—my life a prayer—
and wait for what he'll say and do.
My life's on the line before God, my Lord,
waiting and watching till morning,
waiting and watching till morning.

7-8 O Israel, wait and watch for God—
with God's arrival comes love, with God's arrival comes generous redemption.
No doubt about it—he'll redeem Israel,
buy back Israel from captivity to sin.

The good news is that He is present and He has purchased our redemption. It is finished! For those that know Him as Savior, there is this dance to enjoy. The dance with the Trinity! We're all invited to the ball. If you spend much time around Rhonda's room, you'll begin to hear the music of the Gospel. You may even begin to dance.

• Pray for this music to fill and sooth her soul.
• Pray that this will also be irresistible to others.

We met with her oncologist, her pulmonary medicine specialist and her infectious disease specialist this morning. They affirmed that hers has been an atypical case since the beginning in the ways it has rebuffed the treatments. This puts her in the 4-5% group of patients who's disease process proves difficult to treat. Their goals cooperatively continue to be to defeat the infection in her lungs and see her in remission from her leukemia. They will continue to be strategic in this as they also confer with her Dr at Duke regarding a transfer time line. The medical and support staff have been tremendous.

• Pray that she will be caught up in joy in being in His presence. That this will be refreshed in her throughout each day.
• Pray that they will be creative and wise in their approach.
• Pray that the medications will be effective against her lung infection, it also is being resistant to the medications that usually conquer it.
