Hi All,
Sorry it's been a few days since a post. I was "gently" reminded by a few people of our lack of communication just yesterday.
Rhonda is doing reasonably well following her 3rd round of chemo. She's had a few expected side effects; weakness, nausea and light headedness. The physicians have prescribed an anti-nausea medicine which has helped her rest and eat better.
She was enjoying time by the fire at the Calhouns yesterday when we were together. A good movie on the flat screen and Liam on the couch. It was a restful Veteran's Day.
Her hemoglobin is holding pretty strong, which helps her to feel more stable physically. Her white count seems to be dropping more quickly this time. We are praying that this round will prove to be a more effective treatment.
For those of you who pray, please ask for a full remission as a result of this treatment. We know that He is able. We'd love to see her healed and for Him to get the glory in this way.
Her Mom has been able to stay on for a visit following the long weekend with her sister. They had a wonderful few days together, just bopping around to shops and watching Ohio State in a local.
Unfortunately since Sunday, her Mom has not been feeling well; so though she is here Rhonda hasn't been able to spend time with her since Sunday. Please also pray for her healing and that she would feel better soon. She is staying in Rhonda's home and Rhonda is at the Calhouns.
Yesterday she once again mentioned how much each card, note and e-mail has meant to her. She rereads them, sometimes rewrites portions into her journal and has been building a collection of her favorite verses to be able to have by her bedside or for easy access and transport. Please keep writing. She saves and savors them;)
